Rhymes and Reasons
To me, a poem is simply a painting made of words. My journey in art began in 1956 at age 12 when I began studying under a well known local artist. Whether I am working in the complex medium of watercolor or finding the right line for a new verse, my goal is always to capture the "freshness" of a moment. I have received awards for my poetry and have been published in a number of poetry journals. I have also received numerous awards for my artwork.
